160 BPM. Dry kick, no reverb. Four bars solo, snare ghosting the off-beats.
[Motif Statement: 0:08]
Spring motif enters on plucked synth: six notes, ascending minor sixth, snapping back on the seventh. Doubled by a struck metal ring sample tuned to the root. The whole hook lands inside ten seconds and repeats twice unchanged.
Drums drop to kick only. Mechanical click, two bars. The arcade coin drops into the slot and lands in the box — same sample family as the ring chime, pitched a fifth down.
[Build]
Spring motif chopped to its first three notes, retriggered every sixteenth. Riser climbs eight bars. Ring chimes stack one per bar, five total, then stop dead for a half-bar of CRT hum.
Half-time dubstep. Wobble bass plays the spring motif intervals, bending the sixth and releasing it. Ring chime on every fourth beat, panned hard left to hard right. Sixteen bars. No melody above the bass.
Motif re-enters at double rate, running the loop. Drums drop out. Tape warble pulls the pitch up one semitone, holds, slides back. Bass gone. The loop runs four bars, blurs, locks on a single sustained ring.
[Build Two]
The three-note cell inverts: descending now. Snare rolls in sixteenths, each hit shorter than the last. Four bars of filtered noise. A block lock snaps on the final beat.
Tempo halves to 80. Analog pad in a major key, slow arpeggio in triplets. The spring motif plays straight, unchopped, no bend, no snap-back — the first time it sounds like a melody instead of a mechanism. Gated reverb on a single tom. Thirty-two bars. Sidechain opens wide, then narrows to nothing.
Full 160. Both motif forms at once: ascending in the wobble bass, descending in the lead. Ring chimes in sixteenths, unquantized, swarming. Low tom every two bars. Twenty-four bars, bass pitch creeping up a semitone every eight.
Bass cuts. Chimes thin one per bar, five to one. Last chime, no reverb tail. CRT hum rises, holds four seconds, clicks off at the socket. Total 6:12.
